Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, better known as Ashanti was born on October 13, the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is an actress as well as a vocalist who hails from her native United States. Ashanti began her professional career as a teenager, and was ultimately signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. The same year, she was featured as a guest on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song and Ja Rule's Always on Time track, both of which became massive hits.
